SECTION 9 -WEAVING PAPER Weaving strips of paper ( quilling strips) in different ways can enhance the background or certain features like baskets for example, in a tasteful way. It is best to use a cork board ( picture 1) with a piece graph paper on it to do the weaving and then attach to your work, whether that be behind an open aperture (see picture 2) or as a background that covers the whole card or framing area of your project. The advantage is that you can line your strips up accurately with the graph paper lines as it is essential to be straight and accurate with your placement of strips as it can make or break your project. If you leave a space in your weaving pattern that will leave an empty row in the finished pattern, you DEFINITELY need graph paper underneath as you will get out of line easily otherwise.
Now go onto SECTION 10 - FOLDED ROSES
