Pattern 6 - Daisy Tool Bookmark

This pattern also makes use of the Slot tool (Bold) for the ribbon slots and the Suntool ( Large) around the border.

Instructions..

Requirements :140 gsm parchment paper, White ink/gel pen, PCA Special Embossing Mat and Perforating mat, PCA MediumBall Embosser, PCA Scriber, PCA Bold and Fine DaisyTools, PCA StampEdge and/or MiniStampEdge, PCA Large SunTool, Bold SlotTool  and 5mm ribbon to thread through slots.

Tracing

·        Trace the entire pattern as shown with white ink/gel pen

Embossing

·        Turn work over and place on Special Embossing mat.   Make the alternate LargeSun impressions, with MediumBall dot markings around the entire outside perimeter as per pattern.

·        Make the dot marking along the centre strip in between future slots.

·        Use your MediumBall embosser to fill in the area between the double lines that surrounds centre piece.

·        Use your PCA Scriber to trace over the outside lines to fill them out a little.

Perforating

·        Perforate the slot bases for the ribbon threading by using a base created with the PCA BoldSlot tool and then cutting the centre out in the same method that one does to make crosses.   It is essentially a double cross!

·        Use your Fine and Bold DaisyTools to follow the pattern markings in the centre strip, each one is given a slight twist ( hold tool vertically to paper) before withdrawing tool from paper.

·        Perforate away the entire outside edge of the strip with your PCA StampEdge/Mini StampEdge ( for smaller areas) leaving a neat lacy strip.

Finishing

Thread the 5mm ribbon through the slots along the centre, ensuring that each end is emerging from the underside of the project, like tails.
