The PCA CrescentTool This is a newer member of our Fine Perforating range and is created with 12 needles that form the shape of a crescent or moon shape when used on parchment or paper. As with all of our perforating tools, it may be used to leave decorative impressions in any style of paper or cardstock, not just parchment vellum. It is the soft of shape that you will use not only as a specific moon/crescent shape on it's own, but also in a number of ways when creating pretty border details. It will leave a row of scooped scallops inside a border when used in a line, for example. 2 perforations almost tip to tip will form a circular shape that can be pretty also! It can be used in repeat patterns to make fantasy shapes like a pair of butterfly wings ...
or a pinwheel...
or a rose flower head!
TIP! As with the LoveHeart, remember there are many needles in a very small space and so the needle setting has been done on an angle to minimise the downward pressure on the parchment when perforating, and thus lessening likelihood of damage to paper during use. Still hold the tool upright ( perpendicular to the paper) and not in a natural writing position, even though the needles are angled, so that the number of needles entering the paper at the one time are staggered. |
